PRO: Scott Chandler was signed by the Dallas Cowboys on May 28 to bring extra competition and depth to the tight end position. Chandler was previously a fourth round draft choice (129th overall) by the San Diego Chargers in the 2007 NFL Draft.

Attended Southlake Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas.
All-district and honorable mention all-state as a senior while helping lead the team to a 16-0 record and the Class 5A Division II state title.
Caught 68 passes for 1,203 yards and 18 touchdowns for the title team.
Southlake Carroll moved from Class 4A to Class 5A before his senior season and became the first team in Texas prep history to win the state title after making such a move.
