DAVID TRAVIS - HANAHAN, SC: The Cowboys finally beat a good team, but after the bye week do you think it was a good idea for Wade Phillips to give the team Monday off?

Nick: Not really. But as I say to people all the time just in general when talking about other people's business, 'you coach your team and I'll coach mine.' So literally, maybe we should let Wade Phillips coach his team.

Rob: I was a little surprised, just because the players had their bye a week ago. Now there won't be any formal film sessions Monday, but guys will be in here working out. They'll get back to work Wednesday and they don't have to travel this weekend. Phillips obviously was pleased enough with his team's overall play to reward them.

Josh: I guess it's the old carrot and stick question. Nothing wrong with positive reinforcement, but then again I don't think it would have killed them to come in and watch the film together on Monday.

TED GLAZE - OLNEY, TX: Some said Miles Austin was being set up to fail, but he had 171 yards Sunday and looked really good. Has he now turned the corner or does he still has a lot of growing pains to go through?

Nick: I guess I'm one of those "some" who said that. I don't think I actually said Miles Austin was being set up for failure. I think it was more like the Cowboys could set themselves up to look pretty stupid if they went ahead and started him and he's not ready to play. But that's why they are coaches and we're not. Through two games, he's looked pretty good. Actually, pretty phenomenal is more like it. Will he have some growing pains? Sure. But at this point, if you're going to produce like that, then you'll live with it.

Rob: How was he being set up to fail? He earned the chance for more playing time against Kansas City -- I'm not sure how that can be disputed. It all depends on what your expectations are. If you're expecting T.O. in his prime, then sure, that's a difficult plateau to reach. How about a good, solid young receiver who stretches defenses and seems to improve every week? That's what Austin is -- with obviously a pretty high ceiling.

Josh: Yeah, he has growing pains to go through, but so does everybody in the league. Even Brett Favre went through some growing pains on Sunday. You're seeing that Austin is ready to contribute in a big way, though, and the increased playing time will only continue to make him better.
